LKB UltraPure Valve
Alfa Laval LKB UltraPure Butterfly Valve
The Alfa Laval LKB UltraPure is a hygienic Butterfly Valve for high-purity applications. This inline shutoff Valve, with its substantial opening area, promotes the free flow of low- and medium-viscosity fluids through piping systems. The Alfa Laval LKB UltraPure Butterfly Valve efficiently routes high-purity fluids through piping systems without compromising product quality. Fluids flow easily through the low restriction Valve due to high Kv values.
Based on the trusted Alfa Laval LKB Valve platform, the LKB UltraPure offers full transparency and traceability of the entire supply chain due to the Alfa Laval Q-doc documentation package. Tailored for high-purity applications, these Valves are simple to configure and meet the diverse needs of hygienic processes, ensuring reliable performance across a wide range of applications.

How the LKB UltraPure Valve Works
The LKB Butterfly Valve can be operated with a Pneumatic Actuator, or a handle. There are three versions: normally closed (NC); normally open (NO); and air/air activated (A/A).
For pneumatic operation, an actuator rotates the shaft 90° using axial piston motion. Torque increases as the Valve disc contacts the Valve’s seal ring, to close the Valve seat properly.
For manual operation, a handle locks the Valve open or closed. Two-position, four-position, regulating 90°-position, and multi-position handles are available. Indication units can be mounted on manual Valves for feedback on their position.
