LKB-F Valve

Alfa Laval LKB-F Butterfly Valve

The Alfa Laval LKB-F Butterfly Valve is a dependable, hygienic in-line Valve designed for routing low to medium-viscosity liquids in stainless steel piping systems. Its large opening area and low flow resistance make it highly effective. The LKB-F Valve offers a choice between a manual handle with spring-locking action for simple operation or a Pneumatic Actuator for automated control.

The special flange version of the Alfa Laval LKB Butterfly Valve allows for quick and easy removal of the Valve body without dismantling the entire piping setup. This design simplifies maintenance, enabling swift repair, service, or replacement with minimal disruption to operations, ensuring smooth, uninterrupted workflows.

How the LKB-F Valve Works

The LKB-F Butterfly Valve can be operated with a Pneumatic Actuator, or a handle. There are three versions: normally closed (NC); normally open (NO); and air/air activated (A/A).

For pneumatic operation, an actuator converts axial piston motion into a 90° rotation of the shaft. The torque increases as the Valve disc contacts with the seal ring of the Butterfly Valve, to secure proper closing of the Valve seat.

For manual operation, a handle locks the Valve in open or closed position. Two-position, four-position, regulating 90°-position, and multi-position handles are available. Indication Units can be mounted on manual Valves for feedback on their position.
