The Alfa Laval SB Self-cleaning CO2 Valve is a combination gas supply-gas vent Valve to control the flow of carbon dioxide in tank top systems and other applications in order to vent and/or pressurise a vessel. Fully cleanable and self-draining, this hygienic Valve provides safe, reliable and cost-effective gas management.
This gas management Valve is designed to vent and/or pressurise vessels used in hygienic applications, mainly used in Brewery industries.

Safe, Reliable Operation
The straightforward design of this gas management Valve provides long-lasting operation. By minimising the risk of overpressure or under pressure, the Valve contributes to safe, reliable operation and maximum uptime.
Hygienic, Self-Cleaning Valve
Manufactured of AISI 316L stainless steel, the Valve features a special drilled opening in the Valve body, which effectively cleans all Valve parts during Cleaning-in-Place (CIP). This minimises the risk of contamination. Alfa Laval 3.1 traceability certification is also available upon request.
How the SB Self-Cleaning CO2
Valve Works
The stainless steel spring keeps the Valve body open, allowing gas to flow freely in both directions. When CIP (clean-in-place) fluid flows in the opposite direction, it pushes against the spring, forcing the Valve body to close. A specially drilled opening in the Valve body ensures thorough, hygienic cleaning of all Valve components.
