Application
The (Toftejorg) Alfa Laval TZ-74 Rotary Jet Head implements 3D indexed impact cleaning over an indicated period. It is automatic and represents an iron-clad means of imparting quality assurance in tank cleaning. The device is ideal for processing, storage and transportation tanks and vessels in between 50 and 500 m3 (13,000 to 130,000 US gallons) in capacity. Used in breweries, food and dairy processes, as well as in many other sectors, the TZ-74 Rotary Jet Head has been immensely successful in the global brewing industry.
Working principle
The flow of the cleaning fluid impels the nozzles in a geared orbit around the vertical and horizontal axes. In the first cycle, its nozzles lay out a coarse pattern on the tank surface, which is gradually made denser over subsequent rotations, until a full pattern is reached, following 8 cycles.
Material Certificate, 2.1 (standard)
The choice of nozzle diameters can optimise jet impact length and flow rate at the desired pressure. Due to its slim design, it is ideal to retrofit spray balls, thereby reducing the time and costs of Cleaning-in-Place (CIP). As standard documentation, the TZ-74 can be supplied with a “Declaration of Conformity” for material specifications.
Self-lubricates with cleaning fluid
Max. throw length: 7 – 15 m
Impact throw length: 4 – 9 m
Working pressure: 3 – 12 bar
Recommended pressure: 5 – 6.5 bar
The flow of the cleaning fluid causes the nozzles to rotate in a geared motion around both the vertical and horizontal axes. In the initial cycle, the nozzles create a coarse pattern on the tank surface, and with each subsequent cycle, the pattern becomes denser. A complete cleaning pattern is achieved after eight cycles.
