Case Study
Our client is a chilled prepared food company with a drive to be the UK’s No 1 in its sector. The business places a key focus on nutrition, sustainability and affordable food for all. At the same time, it is seeking to reduce its impact on the environment, with a target of achieving Net Zero in its production, whilst also contributing to the well-being of the communities it supports.
Cleaning over 35 IBCs per day was not only becoming time-consuming, but was resulting in an increase in water usage. In addition, the current process of cleaning the IBCs was not meeting the customer’s high standards. Olives were becoming trapped in the outlet drain, and the existing hand-held lance used was not flushing them out, but jetting them around within the IBC. This resulted in the operator needing to manually remove the olives before giving a final rinse.
As a result, our customer was seeking a system that would provide a guaranteed repeatable 360° cleaning performance and remove all the olives, whilst also reducing both water and power usage – increasing sustainability.
Understanding the customer’s pain points was key to offering the right IBC cleaning solution – one that was both sustainable and effective. We carried out an on-site cleaning trial using our IBC demo system, and the results spoke for themselves:
Water Consumption Reduced by 25%
Labour Costs
Reduced By 75%
Energy Costs
Reduced By 82%
The Arcus VASA IBC Cleaning System, with its modular design, can be configured as a standalone system, or a fully-automated solution. With a payback period of just under 4 months, the high impact ARCUS IBC Cleaning System has provided substantial cost savings in labour, water, chemicals and power consumption.
