A Better IBC Clean For a Global Hair and Beauty Product Manufacturer

The ARCUS IBC Automated Cleaning System cut water consumption by over 80%

The Client

Our client is a global industry leader within the hair and beauty industry. A focus on sustainability and providing a safe and healthy workplace is at the core of their business, and achieving ISO accreditations continues to endorse their commitments.

The Challenge

With 59+ IBCs to be cleaned a week, the customer was looking to significantly reduce water usage alongside improving their current labour-intensive manual cleaning process. The clients’ current cleaning process was carried out using a handheld lance, which was not only time consuming, taking 20 minutes per IBC, but it proved difficult to clean the top corners within the IBC. The level of clean would depend on the operative, so it was important to offer a solution that would give a repeat 360 degree clean, whilst simultaneously reducing water usage.

The Solution

An on-site trial was carried out using the ARCUS IBC automated system. This proved highly successful, demonstrating how the ARCUS system could offer a sustainable solution for the personal care company. With a winch arm to lower the cleaning head into place and pre-set automated wash cycles, this solution delivered a safe working environment with zero manual exposure.
