Application
The (Toftejorg) Alfa Laval TJ40G Rotary Jet Head imparts 3D indexed impact cleaning within a defined interval of time. It is automatic and comprises a sure-fire means to attain quality assurance in tank cleaning. Used in breweries, food and dairy processes and many other industries with strict expectations for hygienic tank cleaning, it is suitable for processing, storage tanks and vessels with capacities between 150-2250m. The TJ40G is the best-in-class for both hygienic design and tank cleaning performance.
Working Principle
The flow of cleaning fluid propels the nozzles in a geared rotation around both the vertical and horizontal axes. In the first cycle, a coarse pattern is laid out on the surface of the tank by the nozzles. Over the course of the subsequent cycles, this pattern is continually bisected, becoming denser, until a full pattern is completed after 8 cycles.

The Alfa Laval TJ40G-HD is ideal for applications where larger amounts of particles in the cleaning liquid are re-circulated through the machine. It is specifically designed to prevent particle entrapment.
The Alfa Laval TJ40G Burst is fitted with a special burst nozzle design for fast chemical wetting of the tank. Burst cleaning reduces cleaning cycle time and the use of water and chemicals.
The high-impact jet stream from the Alfa Laval TJ40G rotary jet head range is designed to cover the entire surface of the tank interior in a successively denser pattern. This creates a powerful mechanical impact clean with a low volume of water and cleaning media.

During the first cycle, the nozzles create a coarse pattern on the tank surface. With each successive cycle, the pattern becomes progressively denser until a complete cleaning coverage is achieved. After reaching full coverage, the machine restarts the process and continues to perform subsequent full cleaning cycles.
