Rotary Jet Head

Alfa Laval MultiJet 40 Rotary Jet Heads

Application

The Alfa Laval MultiJet 40 Rotary Jet Head provides 3D indexed impact cleaning over a preset period. It is ideal for purposes where cost-effective impact cleaning with rotary jet heads is required, but where compliance with hygienic design standards is not obligatory. The device is suitable for process, storage, and transportation tanks between 50 and 500 m3 (13,000 to 130,000 US gallons). It is purpose-built to work under conditions where fibres, finer particles, etc. present in the cleaning media may re-circulate through the machine.

Working principle

The flow of the cleaning fluid propels the nozzles in a geared rotation around both vertical and horizontal axes. In the first phase, the nozzles lay out a coarse pattern on the tank interior. Following phases make the pattern gradually denser, until full coverage is achieved after 8 cycles.

How MultiJet 40 Rotary
Jet Head Works

The high-impact jet stream from the Alfa Laval MultiJet 40 rotary jet head covers the entire surface of the tank interior in a successively denser pattern. This achieves a powerful mechanical impact with a low volume of water and cleaning media.

The flow of the cleaning fluid makes the nozzles perform a geared rotation around the vertical and horizontal axes. In the first cycle, the nozzles lay out a coarse pattern on the tank surface. The subsequent cycles gradually make the pattern denser until a full cleaning pattern is reached. Once the full cleaning pattern is reached, the machine will start over again and continue to perform the next full cleaning pattern.
